01 May 2012 The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh visited the West Country as part of the Diamond Jubliee Tour. On 1 May they visited Sherborne and later Salisbury. The next day it was the turn of Yeovil, Crewkerne and Exeter.

The first part of the day involved the Royal Train together with Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh travelling from Salisbury to Yeovil Junction arriving a little after 8am. To welcome the Royal party and to keep them amused (?) it was decided to put our locos on display!

Brian was in patriotic mode with top hat & flag!
