| 01 May 2012 The Queen, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh visited the West Country as part of the Diamond Jubliee Tour. On 1 May they visited Sherborne and later Salisbury. The next day it was the turn of Yeovil, Crewkerne and Exeter. |

| The first part of the day involved the Royal Train together with Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh travelling from Salisbury to Yeovil Junction arriving a little after 8am. To welcome the Royal party and to keep them amused (?) it was decided to put our locos on display! |
