After its first public outing at our Santa Specials 2013, ex-DMU coach 59515 continues to receive attention.

History of the arrival of the coach at Yeovil can be found HERE, work in 2013 HERE and its use at Christmas 2013 HERE

The Appeal is still open and we will welcome further financial help - see HERE

7 January 2014 - a hole is cut in the side, wide enough to fit two doors to enable access to wheelchairs users and pushchairs etc - sparks fly.

Inside job now!

The basic cut is complete although some more has to be removed below later as there is some channel in the way - members of the team contemplate their next move.

14 January 2014
The previous owner, Martin Haines, paid us a visit and is seen with Ron Weston (who we are most grateful to for the donation enabling us to purchase the coach).

24 January 2014 - The disabled access is progressing with one door fitted (temporarily). The spare doors acquired were not exactly to the same profile and have had to be slightly tweeked!

More filling and sanding is continuing which will improve the 'look' once top coating is undertaken.

28 January 2014
Roger is replacing wood inside a door frame - adjusting to the revised profile - very clever stuff!

Door up again - permanently!

26 February 2014
Both doors in place (temporarily - but getting there!).

4 March 2014
Lots of nice wood.

One end has been fitted out.

Undercoat started.
