8 July 2012 witnessed the arrival of 34067 'Tangmere' at Yeovil Junction with 'Weymouth Seaside Express'.

Following the torrential rains of the past 2 days, many railway lines and roads in the South West were badly affected. This included Yeovil Junction-Honiton and Yeovil Pen Mill-Weymouth. As a consequence the excursion was diverted from Pen Mill round the spur to Yeovil Junction instead of proceeding to Weymouth.

A large number of passengers watched 'Tangmere' being turned.

The support coach being moved.

'Pectin' was in steam as part of the Steam Train Day.

'Tangmere' nearly ready for the 'off'.

As part of the Magical Mystery Tour, the passengers were treated to a trip up to Salisbury for a break of 2 1/2 hours whilst the engine was turned again and serviced prior to making its way back to Bristol!
