19 December 2013 saw a (now) rare visitor in the form of a DRS Class 37.

28/29 December 2013 - Engineering works at Yeovil Junction.

'Well the sun was out briefly today. Even better was the sight of the DRS Class 37 37218. The first visit down the line since 12th June 2012 of a 37 from DRS.
Interestingly the train had DBSO 9701 on the rear.
Thus it was unexpected that the 37 ran around the train at Riverside Yard to haul it back.'

28/29 December - Track renewal on the up line immediately east of Yeovil Junction was carried out this weekend. On Saturday evening 66238 was at the head of the train carrying the old track panels which would soon move down the branch to Yeovil Pen Mill and its destination Westbury.

The lights of the engineering possession can be seen to the left of the locomotive in the background.

At the other end of the train was 66090....

....stretching into the section to Crewkerne.

After unloading, the ballast train is seen at Yeovil Junction station with 66116. Mid Devon Coaches replacement bus service in background.

66083 is at the rear of the train as it runs back to Templecombe, 'wrong line' and past the possession.
