Our site is part of Yeovil Junction station which is served by South West Trains on the route London Waterloo-Salisbury-Yeovil Junction-Exeter. By road simply follow the signs to Yeovil Junction station, BA22 9UU from Yeovil Town centre or from A37 Dorchester-Yeovil road. Buses leave Yeovil Bus Station hourly (from 4/6/2022) but with exceptions (CLICK HERE-Monday to Saturday but not Public Holidays). The entrance to Yeovil Railway Centre is through the low bridge, half way up the Yeovil Junction station approach road.

Please do NOT cross any railway line to reach Yeovil Railway Centre but follow the directions above. Thank you for your co-operation.

Driver Experience
We offer good value Driver Experience events for individuals (up to 3 hours approx and great Gift idea!) or are suitable for Groups of up to 8 people (Full Day). Please get in touch if you are interested either in organising a group for a full day or perhaps preparing and driving the engine prior to one of our Train Days. Model Railway Weekend with optional Diesel train rides using one of our diesels' to give train rides along the 1/3rd mile of the ex-Great Western Railway Clifton Maybank branch. Passengers travel in historic brake van. Check when our accessible coach is in use. Trains run every 20 minutes (except for a lunch break).

Other attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway and exhibits and displays.

Admission to Model Railway Exhibition only £TBA (Adult) and £TBA (Child). Admission to Model Railway Exhibition and Diesel Train rides £TBA adult, Children £TBA.00 (aged 5-15) whilst children under 5 are free. One Child (aged 5-15) is admitted FREE with a full paying adult.

Members pay the public admission charges on these days.

Steam is detached and comes onto Yeovil Railway Centre for turning and servicing whilst train proceeds to Weymouth with a diesel.

Trains at 11.00am, 11.20am, 11.40am 12 noon, 12.20pm then 1.50pm, 2.10pm, 2.50pm, 3.10pm and 3.30pm. Turntable demonstrations at 12.40pm and 2.30pm.

(Gate open at 10.30am and train rides start at 11.00am. Last admission 3.15pm).


Other planned attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway, Miniature Railway and exhibits and displays (including the Chard Signalling Panel).

One Child (aged (5-15)) is admitted FREE with a full paying adult (see below).
